Training your muscle is important to be conducted regularly, but not to the point of over training them. There has to be regularity of your training. It is said that it is preferable to hit your muscle for at least twice a week and no less. Some would train through times of almost over training your muscles, and then go some periods of under training. This means putting a lot of stress on your body and then putting in less. This will allow your body to have time to recover and build momentum to go for another period of hard training. It is advisable that your training sessions do not go beyond 45 minutes. For this routine to be considered enough, make sure your routines are not too long and you do your workout intensely enough. The key words emphasized here are intensity and quality to make 45 minutes enough. Take note that if your session goes beyond this time, your testosterone level could fall significantly. This means your cortisol has increased and this would cause your body to eat your muscle tissue and stores fat. This is not what you want because this is the exact opposite of what you want to happen.

It is advisable to cycle your training. This means you change your training sessions regularly but not also frequently. Repeating the same sessions over time will lose its ability to stimulate your lean muscle building since your body has already gotten used to it. Changing your sessions too often will also confuse your body muscles and could stop its reaction to build mass.

It is important that you use the correct exercises in order to build big lean muscles. Not doing so will not give you the results you are aiming for. It is recommended that you follow the classic exercise of building lean muscle mass through what is called the multi-joint exercises or the compound exercises.
